UBALDI, Baldo degli (1327-1400) - Opus aureum utriusque iuris inminis. Lyon: Jacques Myt, 1522. A fine edition of this work by Baldo degli Ubaldi, jurist and student of Bartolo da Sassoferrato, Professor of law at the universities of Bologna, Perugia, Pisa, Florence, Padua and Pavia. This edition includes the entire commentary on the Libri Feudorum with the interesting final part dedicated to the Peace of Constance. 4to (191 x 139mm). Title in red and black within a floral border and a fine vignette representing Baldo, woodcut initials (a few light stains, small wormtrack at the lower corner from leaf v7 to x4). Later vellum, manuscript title on spine, top and outer edge, yellow edges. Provenance: early annotations - illeggible stamp- Marchese Mazzaccara di Celenza (bookplate).
