First rare edition of the statutes of Lucca elegantly printed, the work provides numerous informations on the civil and economic organization of the city in the late Renaissance . Folio (350 x 240mm). Title within woodcut frame, woodcut initials, woodcut plate at the end of the volume representing the shield of Lucca and the city motto (wormtracks mainly in the inner margin and more rarely in the margins, more evident in the first and final leaves, without however substantial loss of text, slight occasional staining).
