A good copy of this small format geographical atlas with the first maps in fine contemporary colouring comprising: L'Ancien Monde et le nouveau, Planisphere suivant la projection de Mercator, Europe, Asia and Africa. 4to (252 x 199mm). 50 double-page engraved plates numbered 1-49 and 17 bis. Contemporary calf decorated with gilt fillet border on panels, gilt spine and edges (rebacked preserving old spine). The lot contains the atlas only with 50 geographical maps and some initial text leaves, the text volumes are not present.
