One of the many editions published between 1714 and 1721 of this treatise on the Plauge by Muratori. The work is recalled by Manzoni in his Promessi Sposi and it was written immediately after the Plague epidemic of 1713. 2 works in one volume, 4to (212 x 17mm). Woodcut vignette on titles, initials and woodcut headpices (without final blank in first work, occasional light stains). A good copy bound in contemporary speckled calf, gilt spine and speckled edges (modern endpapers), preserved in elegant modern case. Provenance: Gio. Rossi Libri (bookseller's stamp on title).
